About Solvolto

Going electric, made clear.

Solvolto is a free, independent hub of home-electrification calculators. It helps homeowners answer the practical questions behind every electric upgrade — EV charging, solar, batteries, heat pumps and whether the electrical panel can handle it — with instant, plain-language estimates and the assumptions always shown.

What it is

A calculator hub for home electrification

Solvolto brings together the tools people normally hunt across a dozen blog posts and installer sites into one place. Each calculator gives a clear answer in seconds, requires no account, and works the same on a phone or a desktop. Every result is an estimate for planning and education, and each tool shows exactly how it got there.

The catalog spans five areas: whole-home electrical readiness, EV charging, solar and battery storage, heat pumps, and electrical-panel sizing. You can browse them all on the tools page.

Why it exists

Electrification is confusing — it shouldn't be

Most homeowners deciding whether to add an EV charger, put up solar, or swap a furnace for a heat pump run into the same wall: the answers are buried in sales quotes, jargon and spreadsheets. The numbers that actually matter — how long, how much, will it fit — are rarely just handed to you.

Solvolto exists to hand them over directly and honestly, before anyone tries to sell you anything. No lead forms gating the result, no inflated savings, no dark patterns — just the math, transparently.

How the tools work

Transparent methodology, real sources

Every calculator is built on widely accepted engineering rules and public data, and each one carries an "Assumptions & sources" note spelling out its formula. Panel and load tools use the U.S. National Electrical Code's continuous-load and demand methods (including the 80% rule and the 220.82 optional method). Energy and cost tools draw on typical EIA electricity rates, EPA efficiency norms, and standard equipment specifications such as heat-pump COP and solar derate factors.

Because results are estimates, Solvolto consistently recommends verifying any electrical, solar or HVAC work with a licensed professional before committing. The goal is a confident starting point, not a substitute for a site survey or a load calculation.

The mission

Building toward technergy

Solvolto is more than a set of calculators — it's the start of a community for electrifying the world. The clean-energy shift won't be won by hardware alone; it needs people who understand their own homes, share what actually works, and push the next wave of ideas forward. We call that convergence of technology and energy technergy: the next innovation, and the next generation of how we power our lives.

Every free tool here is a small act of that mission — handing people honest numbers so they can act with confidence, and then bringing them together to build what comes next.

Technergy — homes, transport and energy, connected.
Who it's for

Homeowners, renters and the curious

Solvolto is built for anyone weighing an electric upgrade: a homeowner pricing an EV charger, a family comparing a heat pump to their gas bill, a renter sizing a battery for backup, or a tradesperson sanity-checking a quick number on site. The tools assume no technical background and explain their terms as they go.
